NORTH INDIAN CLASSICAL VOCAL MUSIC

Ms. Sanjukta is a disciple of Padma Vibhushan Girija Devi of Benaras Gharana. Sanjukta obtained her degrees in Hindustani classical vocal music from the University of Rajasthan and Delhi and then pursued her musical training in Kolkata from Late Jog Maya Banerjee of Kirana Gharana.

Ms. Sanjukta is a dedicated music teacher, composer and musicologist. She has been teaching at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, USA for more than 35 years. Also teaches online worldwide and conducts workshops. She has performed in the USA and India, notably at Natural History Museum, United Nation, Indian Consulate New York, Anila Sinha Foundation, Chicago, Sivananda Centers at Bahamas and New York branch. She also performed in Washington DC, Northeast Theater, Scranton, PA, Kolkata and
Mumbai, India. Ms. Sanjukta Sen also composed and rendered a song written by Late Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee during his visit to New York on Sep. 1998.

Ms. Sanjukta released her latest album “Rishi Vani, Celestial Vedic Hymns & Verses, which is the
musical offering of the selected hymns from the ancient Vedic scriptures.
